About the owner of Pooch & Pony
I’m Laura and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I started riding horses when I was 12 and currently own one 24 yr old thoroughbred mare, Cashmere. We started in the hunter jumper world and competed successfully in West Tennessee. We now dabble in dressage and trail riding. I’ve been an assistant barn manager in NW Ohio and worked with A circuit trainer in Memphis, Tennessee running the beginner lesson program and taking students to local shows. My husband and I have 4 dogs at home and I train and compete in dog agility. My current partner is a 4 yr old border collie, Louie. We have also fostered puppies for different rescue groups in Memphis for 8 years. Since we moved to Florida in 2022, we have fostered for Polk County Bully Crew, Marion County Humane Society, Ewenity Herding Dogs and the Tampa Bay Humane Society.

Dog/Cat Sitting
For clients that just need dog/cat care
For a drop in visit (60 minutes each visit and usually 2 visits per day)

Overnight stays

This includes feeding am/pm, cleaning out kitty litter box, getting mail and staying overnight

Horse/Farm Sitting
For clients that need dogs/horses/other livestock care
For a drop in visit. This includes 3 stalls picked out

Includes daily bringing in/turn out/fly mask/boot application/feeding/throwing hay/empty and refill water buckets/troughs as needed.
